About Us
Our story began in the hills of Donegal, Ireland. We met while setting up our separate businesses in occupational therapy and interior design, and found a common passion and nationwide need for stylish, accessible building redesign.
We took the bold move in establishing Eyra Collective in 2026 with the common goal of linking up specialist occupational therapists and talented interior designers across Ireland to provide accessible building design solutions rooted in clinical and design excellence. So many people call Éire home, and yet across our country so many people cannot access the bounty of businesses we have to offer.
We specialise in physical, neurological or sensory design, ensuring our clients are supported in maximising their customer’s comfort. Our combined expertise ensure our redesign solutions are rooted in evidence-based accessibility solutions that encompass both style and function.
Meet Elaine
Elaine studied as an Interior Designer at the prestigious KLC School of Design, London while living and working in Nice — completing her internship at a busy architect's office and honing her craft alongside a talented local artisan on renovation projects. She later added a Certificate in Lighting Design from Griffith College Dublin to her name, something she's passionate about, with a particular focus on sensory design and how light shapes the way a space truly feels to live in. With a background in yachting and high-end travel, Elaine has a natural eye for luxury and detail, and after returning home to the stunning surroundings of Co. Donegal, decided to team up with Martha to create beautiful, accessible designs that maximise comfort with stylish interiors.
Meet Martha
Martha graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2017 with an honours degree in Occupational Therapy, and has since built up a rich and varied career spanning hospital wards, youth mental health services, adult primary care services, and schools on both sides of the Irish Sea. Along the way she became an Anna Freud trained mental health trainer and is currently deepening her expertise further with a Master's in Advanced Sensory Integration Practice at Sheffield Hallam University. She has advanced expertise supporting adults across Ireland with OT housing assessments, both as part of government housing adaptation grants, and private home re-design projects. As well as this, she is a expert panel member for the Irish Office of Inspectorate of Prisons. Her passion lies in empowering individuals to feel confident and enriched in their lives, regardless of their sensory, physical or mental health needs . She is registered with both CORU and HCPC, Martha is driven by a simple but powerful belief: that Irish people deserve better, and that with the right support, everyone can thrive in living meaningful, connected lives.
